Alphabet Inc's YouTube is planning to launch an on-line shop for streaming video services, the Wall Street Journal suggested on Friday.
The enterprise has renewed talks with amusement businesses about collaborating in the platform, which it is referring to internally as a "channel store," the document said, citing human beings shut to the latest discussions.
The platform has been in the works for at least 18 months and should be handy as early as this fall, the record added.
Alphabet did now not at once reply to a Reuters request for comment.
With extra buyers slicing the wire on cable or satellite tv for pc TV and moving to subscription-based streaming services, the deliberate launch will enable YouTube to be a part of corporations like Roku Inc and Apple in a bid to obtain a component of the already crowded streaming market.
